Welcome to Kore Map (the "Platform"), operated by Kore Labs Inc. ("Company", "we", "us", "our"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of our website, API, mobile applications, and any related services (collectively, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
By creating an account, browsing our roadmaps, contributing content, or otherwise interacting with Kore Map, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to be legally bound by these Terms, as well as our Privacy Policy and any additional guidelines or rules applicable to specific features (e.g., community contributions, API usage). If you are using the Service on behalf of an organization, you represent that you have authority to bind that organization to these Terms.
We may revise these Terms from time to time. The most current version will be posted on this page with the effective date. Continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the new Terms. It is your responsibility to review them periodically.
Kore Map provides an interactive, community-driven platform for creating, sharing, and learning from structured roadmaps – including technical topics (e.g., programming languages, DevOps, system design), career paths, and self‑directed learning curricula. Our Service includes:
We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time without liability, except where prohibited by law. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users of significant changes.
You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. If you are between 13 and 18, you must have parental or guardian permission. By registering, you represent that you meet these age requirements. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to immediately notify us of any unauthorized use of your account. We reserve the right to terminate accounts that are created using false information or that violate these Terms.
When you register, you must provide accurate, current, and complete information. You may not share your account with others. Accounts are non‑transferable. We may require verification of identity for certain features (e.g., becoming a roadmap curator).
You agree to use the Service only for lawful purposes and in a manner that does not infringe the rights of, restrict, or inhibit anyone else's use of the Service. Prohibited activities include, but are not limited to:
We have the right to fully cooperate with any law enforcement authorities or court order requesting or directing us to disclose the identity of anyone posting any such information or materials. We also reserve the right to terminate or suspend your account immediately for any violation of this section.
Kore Map allows you to contribute content such as comments, questions, answers, custom roadmaps, project solutions, code snippets, and other materials ("User Content"). You retain ownership of any intellectual property rights that you hold in your User Content. However, by submitting User Content, you grant Kore Map a worldwide, non‑exclusive, royalty‑free, perpetual, irrevocable, and sublicensable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, and display such User Content in connection with the Service and our business, including for promoting and redistributing part or all of the Service (and derivative works thereof) in any media formats and through any media channels.
You represent and warrant that: (i) you own the User Content or have the necessary licenses, rights, consents, and permissions to publish it and grant the license above; (ii) your User Content does not violate the rights of any third party, including privacy, publicity, copyright, patent, trademark, trade secret, or other proprietary rights; and (iii) your User Content does not contain any viruses, adware, spyware, worms, or other malicious code.
We are not responsible for the accuracy, usefulness, safety, or intellectual property rights of any User Content. You understand that you may be exposed to User Content that is inaccurate, offensive, indecent, or objectionable. We reserve the right, but have no obligation, to monitor, edit, or remove any User Content in our sole discretion.
The Service itself, including its original content (excluding User Content), features, functionality, visual interfaces, interactive features, graphics, design, compilation, computer code (source code and object code), products, software, and aggregate user review ratings are owned by Kore Labs Inc. and are protected by international copyright, trademark, patent, trade secret, and other intellectual property or proprietary rights laws.
You may not copy, modify, create derivative works of, publicly display, publicly perform, republish, download, store, or transmit any of our material, except as follows: (a) your computer may temporarily store copies of materials incidental to your accessing and viewing those materials; (b) you may store files that are automatically cached by your web browser for display enhancement purposes; (c) you may print or download one copy of a reasonable number of pages of the Service for your own personal, non‑commercial use and not for further reproduction, publication, or distribution; and (d) if we provide social media features, you may take such actions as are enabled by those features. You must not delete or alter any copyright, trademark, or other proprietary rights notices from copies of materials.
Our name, logo, and all related names, logos, product and service names, designs, and slogans are trademarks of Kore Labs Inc. You may not use such marks without our prior written permission. All other names, brands, and marks are used for identification purposes only and may be the trademarks of their respective owners.
Kore Map relies on community experts and official partners to create and maintain roadmaps. If you apply to become a contributor or curator, you may be granted special access to create, edit, or delete roadmap nodes, levels, projects, and other structured content. In addition to the general user conduct rules, curators must adhere to the following:
We may revoke curator privileges at any time for violation of these guidelines or for any other reason. Curators are volunteers and do not receive compensation unless a separate written agreement exists. You acknowledge that curated content will be used by thousands of learners, and you accept responsibility for the quality of your contributions.
Your use of the Service is subject to our Privacy Policy, which explains how we collect, use, and share your personal information. By using the Service, you consent to such collection and processing as described in the Privacy Policy. We may collect data about your learning progress, contributions, and usage patterns to improve the Service and personalize recommendations. You may opt out of certain data collection where required by applicable law.
If you are located in the European Economic Area, Switzerland, or the United Kingdom, you have additional rights under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), including the right to access, rectify, or delete your personal data. The Service may contain links to third‑party websites, services, or resources that are not owned or controlled by Kore Map. We have no control over, and assume no responsibility for, the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third‑party websites or services. You further acknowledge and agree that Kore Map shall not be responsible or liable, directly or indirectly, for any damage or loss caused or alleged to be caused by or in connection with the use of or reliance on any such content, goods, or services available on or through any such web sites or services. We strongly advise you to read the terms and conditions and privacy policies of any third‑party web sites or services that you visit.
Certain features of Kore Map may be offered on a paid subscription basis ("Premium Features"). If you choose to subscribe, you agree to pay all applicable fees as described at the time of purchase. Fees are non‑refundable except as required by law or as explicitly stated in a refund policy. We may change our fees at any time by providing notice on the Service or via email. Your continued use of Premium Features after the fee change becomes effective constitutes your agreement to pay the new amount.
All payments are processed through third‑party payment processors (e.g., Stripe, PayPal). You agree to provide current, complete, and accurate purchase and account information. We are not responsible for any errors or delays caused by the payment processor. If your payment method fails, we may suspend your access to Premium Features until payment is successfully made.
You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us or using the account deletion feature within the Service. We may terminate or suspend your access to the Service immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason whatsoever, including without limitation if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will cease immediately. If you wish to terminate your account, you may simply discontinue using the Service or request deletion of your account. Provisions that by their nature should survive termination shall survive termination, including but not limited to ownership provisions, warranty disclaimers, indemnity, and limitations of liability.
YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE IS AT YOUR SOLE RISK. THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS. KORE MAP EXPRESSLY DISCLAIMS ALL WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, OR STATUTORY, INCLUDING, BUT NOT LIMITED TO, THE IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, AND NON‑INFRINGEMENT.
WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT (i) THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR REQUIREMENTS; (ii) THE SERVICE WILL BE UNINTERRUPTED, TIMELY, SECURE, OR ERROR‑FREE; (iii) THE RESULTS THAT MAY BE OBTAINED FROM THE USE OF THE SERVICE WILL BE ACCURATE OR RELIABLE; (iv) THE QUALITY OF ANY PRODUCTS, SERVICES, INFORMATION, OR OTHER MATERIAL PURCHASED OR OBTAINED BY YOU THROUGH THE SERVICE WILL MEET YOUR EXPECTATIONS; OR (v) ANY ERRORS IN THE SERVICE WILL BE CORRECTED. ANY MATERIAL DOWNLOADED OR OTHERWISE OBTAINED THROUGH THE USE OF THE SERVICE IS ACCESSED AT YOUR OWN DISCRETION AND RISK, AND YOU WILL BE SOLELY RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGE TO YOUR COMPUTER SYSTEM OR LOSS OF DATA THAT RESULTS FROM THE DOWNLOAD OF ANY SUCH MATERIAL.
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL KORE MAP, ITS AFFILIATES, DIRECTORS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, SUPPLIERS, OR LICENSORS BE LIABLE FOR ANY DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR EXEMPLARY DAMAGES (INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, DAMAGES FOR LOSS OF PROFITS, GOODWILL, USE, DATA, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES) RESULTING FROM (i) THE USE OR THE INABILITY TO USE THE SERVICE; (ii) THE COST OF PROCUREMENT OF SUBSTITUTE GOODS AND SERVICES RESULTING FROM ANY GOODS, DATA, INFORMATION, OR SERVICES PURCHASED OR OBTAINED OR MESSAGES RECEIVED OR TRANSACTIONS ENTERED INTO THROUGH OR FROM THE SERVICE; (iii) UNAUTHORIZED ACCESS TO OR ALTERATION OF YOUR TRANSMISSIONS OR DATA; (iv) STATEMENTS OR CONDUCT OF ANY THIRD PARTY ON THE SERVICE; OR (v) ANY OTHER MATTER RELATING TO THE SERVICE, WHETHER BASED ON WARRANTY, CONTRACT, TORT (INCLUDING NEGLIGENCE), OR ANY OTHER LEGAL THEORY, EVEN IF KORE MAP HAS BEEN ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES.
SOME JURISDICTIONS DO NOT ALLOW THE EXCLUSION OF CERTAIN WARRANTIES OR THE LIMITATION OR EXCLUSION OF LIABILITY FOR INCIDENTAL OR CONSEQUENTIAL DAMAGES. ACCORDINGLY, SOME OF THE ABOVE LIMITATIONS MAY NOT APPLY TO YOU. IN SUCH JURISDICTIONS, OUR LIABILITY SHALL BE LIMITED TO THE GREATEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW. IN ANY EVENT, OUR TOTAL CUMULATIVE LIABILITY TO YOU FOR ALL CLAIMS ARISING FROM OR RELATING TO THESE TERMS OR THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID TO US DURING THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE EVENT GIVING RISE TO THE CLAIM, OR (B) ONE HUNDRED DOLLARS ($100).
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Kore Map, its affiliates, and their respective officers, directors, employees, contractors, agents, licensors, and suppliers from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, judgments, awards, losses, costs, expenses, or fees (including reasonable attorneys' fees) arising out of or relating to your violation of these Terms or your use of the Service, including, but not limited to, your User Content, any use of the Service's content, services, and products other than as expressly authorized in these Terms, or your use of any information obtained from the Service.
These Terms shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Delaware, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any dispute arising from or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved exclusively through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association (AAA) under its Commercial Arbitration Rules, in the English language, in Wilmington, Delaware. You agree that any claim must be brought within one (1) year after the cause of action arises, or such claim is permanently barred. Judgment upon the arbitration award may be entered in any court having jurisdiction. You waive the right to participate in a class action or class‑wide arbitration. If you are a user located in a jurisdiction that prohibits such arbitration agreement, you may bring claims exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Wilmington, Delaware, and you consent to personal jurisdiction there.
Kore Map respects the intellectual property rights of others and expects users to do the same. If you believe that any material available on or through the Service infringes upon any copyright you own or control, please immediately notify our Designated Copyright Agent at [email protected] with the following information: (i) a physical or electronic signature of the copyright owner or a person authorized to act on their behalf; (ii) identification of the copyrighted work claimed to have been infringed; (iii) identification of the material that is claimed to be infringing and information reasonably sufficient to permit us to locate the material; (iv) your contact information, including address, telephone number, and email; (v) a statement that you have a good faith belief that use of the material in the manner complained of is not authorized by the copyright owner, its agent, or the law; and (vi) a statement that the information in the notification is accurate, and under penalty of perjury, that you are authorized to act on behalf of the copyright owner. We will respond to valid notices and may remove or disable access to the allegedly infringing material. We may terminate the accounts of repeat infringers.
The Service may be subject to U.S. export control laws and regulations. You agree to comply with all applicable export and re‑export restrictions. You represent that you are not located in a country that is subject to a U.S. government embargo, or that has been designated by the U.S. government as a "terrorist supporting" country, and that you are not listed on any U.S. government list of prohibited or restricted parties.
Entire Agreement: These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy and any other legal notices published by Kore Map on the Service, constitute the entire agreement between you and Kore Map concerning the Service.
Severability: If any provision of these Terms is held to be invalid or unenforceable by a court of competent jurisdiction, the remaining provisions shall remain in full force and effect, and the invalid provision shall be replaced by a valid provision that most closely achieves the original intent.
Waiver: No waiver of any term of these Terms shall be deemed a further or continuing waiver of such term or any other term, and our failure to assert any right or provision under these Terms shall not constitute a waiver of such right or provision.
Assignment: You may not assign or transfer these Terms or any rights hereunder without our prior written consent. We may assign these Terms freely in connection with a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, or by operation of law.
Force Majeure: We shall not be liable for any delay or failure to perform resulting from causes outside our reasonable control, including, but not limited to, acts of God, war, terrorism, riots, embargos, acts of civil or military authorities, fire, floods, accidents, strikes, or shortages of transportation facilities, fuel, energy, labor, or materials.
Notices: We may provide notices to you via email, regular mail, or postings on the Service. Notices will be deemed given upon the date of transmission if sent by email or posted on the Service.
